This is Leila Kordbache, cooking consultant, and I am in cooperation with Fatemeh and Siosepol Agency.
I am from Kordestan, a province in east of Iran, the inheritor of dervishes and the rhythm of Def and green mounts.
I am a guard in protecting my Kurdish roots, and this originality is manifested in three things: Kurdish Language, Kurdish Tablecloth and Kurdish Music. I am the mother my two children.
I was 8 years old when I started cooking with my mother. I learned the love of cooking from my mother, and I learned the codes and secrets of cooking from my mom’s aunt, Sayareh. I was only 13 years old when I was the master of our kitchen and I became an expert cook in Kurdish and Iranian traditional foods. I bought the first cookbook when I was 14 and I wrote the Kurdish Cookbook when I was 32 years old. A book which received a lot of welcoming and became hard-to-find very soon.
At the age of 18, when the internet entered into the life, I started translating the cooking recipes that I found on the Internet, which were printing on the most important women-related magazine, The Woman of Day magazine.
More than 20 years of records of cooperation with specialized cooking magazines, as the essayist and a member of editorial board, and then years of cooperation with private cooking schools, as the instructor and internal manger, have provided me with a lot of valuable experiences.
I established the Ofogh-e Salamat School which is now running as a credible cooking school in Tehran, and more than 3000 trainees have been trained in that school so far. I am in cooperation with all Iranian National TV Channels as the cooking instructor since 2006 and I have more than 200 hours of cooking instructing programs on Iranian National TV.
The Ofogh-e Salamat cooking school is the contract party to embassies of Romania, Hungary, Malaysia, Portugal, Bulgaria to train the trainees of these embassies and to provide food for the ceremonies of these embassies.
For introduction to the traditional foods, I traveled to everywhere in Iran, and after full acquaintance with Iranian cuisine, I traveled to other countries such as France, South Africa, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Lebanon, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Dubai, Morocco, Germany and etc.
